User Experience

"On-boarding is automated and frictionless" in a similar way to other DeFi protocols. Simply sign in to the Kagami dApp using metamask. Charge up a deposit box and pay for the required features and policies in a ‘pay as you’ fashion.

Kagami users will login to the dApp and do the following key tasks. Initially Metamask is the only supported wallet for login however this will expand over time.

Subscribe to Kagami. After first login with Metamask an email address will be requested for policy alerts.

Setup Organisation Wallet List. This will involve entering the wallet address of each wallet in use by an organisation and the email address of its owner. Before the wallet can be used in Kagami the owner will need to respond to a welcome email and verify ownership.

Subscribe to Public Policies. Public pre-configured policies are available for subscription. For example the treasury wallet of a DAO may have a policy that watches for large movements of funds. Each policy has a breach condition. In this example the breach limit may be fund movements greater than $1M USDC within 24hrs. By subcribing to the policy users receive email alert notifications when a policy breach occurs.

Setup Private Policies. Private policies are only available to a select group of users. Setting up private policies involves the following steps:

  • Wallet Cluster Setup: Create a group of wallets that should be monitored. This will often be wallets the organisation uses internally however it can be any wallet on-chain.

  • Policy Selection: Chose a policy template and insert required variables. Each policy has different variables it requires depending on type. This process includes attaching a wallet cluster to the policy so it knows what wallets to monitor.

  • Feature Selection: Chose which Kagami features each policy should use on policy breach. A simple feature would be an email alert notification. Where appropriate this process involves selecting which organisational wallets will participate in the feature (example which organisational wallets will receive a policy breach email alert).
