Features
Kagami will offer the features listed in this section.
Features are opt-in and some may attract additional fees. From a user’s perspective:
Those who opt-in to all features would have a comprehensive risk management solution that seamlessly integrates into their risk control processes. Assets are always kept on the preferred (often L1) chain. This reduces risks of deploying assets to more centralized L2 chains (often via cross-chain bridges) and the additional hacking/smart contract risk this introduces. If coupled with insurance (which Kagami may facilitate) a separate custody solution may not be required. It should be noted that all features include MPC security of private keys.
Those who opt-in to some features don’t have to pay for features they don’t want or need (centralised custodians charge steep fees and provide all features to everyone).
Those who use no additional features (beyond breach notifications it's likely everyone will want these!) get the benefit of a high quality policy layer with digital assets residing wherever they are currently (eg: Ethereum account on ledger device, Polygon account in metamask etc)
